Edible Artwork Guidelines, Printing Standards & Color Policy

At Lady Fortunes®, we turn your digital designs into delicious edible masterpieces — printed with premium food-grade edible inks on frosting or sugar sheets using FDA-approved equipment. To ensure your final product looks as beautiful as it tastes, please review the following artwork submission and printing guidelines before sending your files.

Artwork Requirements

• Accepted File Formats: JPG, PNG, or GIF. We also accept PDF or AI (Adobe Illustrator) files — version 6 or earlier only — with all fonts outlined.

• Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for clear, detailed prints.

• Color Mode:
  All artwork should be submitted in CMYK color mode, as Lady Fortunes® uses a proprietary four-color edible ink process optimized for accurate tone balance and saturation.

• Bleed:

  • Bleed is not provided unless specifically requested.

  • If you require full-bleed printing, please request it when submitting your art and provide artwork with a minimum 0.25-inch bleed on all sides.

  • Because cookies naturally taper at the edges, full-bleed designs will extend (“bleed”) off the curved surface, which may result in subtle color shifts or gradient blending at the perimeter.

• Layout: Keep key design elements (logos, text, etc.) at least 1/4 inch away from the edge to prevent cropping during printing.
